Hormonal Acne Solution
“When I realise the skin is an extension of the soul and a reflection of a healthy body and a happy mind, it changed the way I practiced skin care” Dr Terry
If you suffer from adult acne, you most probably have hormonal acne.
My approach to clearing hormonal acne is finding the root cause of the problem first and foremost before recommending you skin products. By helping you identify what’s truly contributing to your acne breakouts, you can be more in control of how your skin behaves on a monthly and even seasonal basis. Depending on what we find, we can either remove, replace or restore balance of any discrepancies.
I wrote about my approach in my first book “The Hormonal Acne Solution - clearing acne without antibiotics, birth control pills or roaccutane.” If you’re interested in reading it, you can purchase it from Amazon. It will give you some guidance to work through the program at home.
If you would like to dive deeper, I can help.
Ps: I’m currently ONLY doing Skype consultations for my Hormonal Acne Solution programs to allow me to help women from around the world, unbounded by geography. If physical skin treatments are required in the course of your program, I will be able to see you in clinic.
PLEASE NOTE: At one point in the future, I will no longer take on any new 1-2-1 patients for my Hormonal Acne Solution as I will be focusing on creating an online program that will be accessible throughout the world. But for now, if you resonate with my approach, I would love to help you.
If you would like to find out more or book a consultation with me, please email info@DrTerry.com or complete an online enquiry form. I look forward to connecting with you.
All treatments require initial consultation to asses suitability. There is an initial consultation fee which is non-refundable.
What is acne?
Acne is a condition arising as a result of blockages that occur in hair follicles. Sebaceous glands at the follicles are stimulated by hormones (which is why acne often occurs from puberty onwards) and these release sebum. If the sebum is excessive or blocked from leaving the follicle, bacteria can proliferate in the follicle and the resulting inflammation causes a pimple or spot. The bacteria P.acnes has been shown to be responsible for acne.
There are different severities of acne, ranging from whiteheads to cysts and moving through the scale of severity, the discomfort levels and risks of scarring increase. Varying factors influence the risks and level of acne and these should be examined before treatment.
